Current Ratio System:

After 500mb downloaded you must have a ratio above 0.25 or you will have to wait 240 hours (10 days) before you can download new torrents

After 3gb downloaded you must have a ratio above 0.50 or you will have to wait 24 hours (1 day) before you can download new torrents

After 5gb downloaded you must have a ratio above 0.80 or you will have to wait 12 hours before you can download new torrents

After 7gb downloaded you must have a ratio above 0.95 or you will have to wait 6 hours before you can download new torrents

What is a ratio ?

the ratio is worked out by dividing the amount you have uploaded by the amount you have downloaded.

i.e. if you download 1gb and upload 500mb
     500 / 1 000 = 0.5
     your ratio is 0.50

I'm trying to seed to get my % back up but my upload is always 1 or 2kbps, I don't strangle my uploads but noone wants what I've got!!

Since im in here, i did nothing but  grabbing freeleech torrents so i could set up a decent ratio...as  you can see, ive been seeding up to 29 gigas and now i still have no ratio whatsoever PLUS i get a warning for that ????
there must be something wrong , can u please have a look

I just joined as well and i have no problem leaving my connection on to get the proper ratio. However noone is downloading from me and i would like my ratio to go up. I so seem some upload..but very very small.. i can upload up to 300 KB/sec. .yet its not being taken advantage of.

It's because you are seeding this file:

As you can see if you check it out, there's 15 people seeding and 0 people leeching. This is likely due to the fact that it's an aged event by now.

What you should do is start downloading a file that has a lot of leechers but few seeders. Or something that is FREELEECH with leechers on it, is even better as then only your upload and no download will count.

How do you upload to get my ratio down, and how long does it take(is it quicker than downloading)? How did I get the 0.4 seeding bonus?

Seeding bonus = when you leave a torrent available to be uploaded in your bittorrent client (i.e. utorrent or Azereus etc...). You get 0.5 seeding bonus for evey hour you leave a torrent seeding in your client.

So go and download Freeleech torrents, even if you do not want the files for yourself. Freeleech torrents only record upload stats, not download stats, so it does not negatively effect your ratio - it helps it.

The 2 best files to use right now are probably:

--->  UFC 31-40 Pack [Freeleech]

--->  UFC 41-50 Pack [Freeleech]

Not only will you get a seeding bonus for leaving either or both of these in your client available to upload, you'll probably upload some of the file (people downloading the file from you), which will begin increasing your ratio immediately!

Upload is almost always slower than download, but just leave your bittorrent client open for a few days (or as long as possible) and you'll get a nice seeding bonus and ratio increase through upload.

G'day Guys  - New to the site and read through the ratio's info..

All fair enough.
Downloaded the Affliction torrent, and also a Freeleach torrent..
But they just WILL NOT seed higher than 3 or 4 kb/s
Its killing me as I don't want to get banned so early.
What's more annoying, as we have 4gig left till the 16th of feb..
I need my ratio to be much higher..

Any ideas?

Hello im new here and i want ask..
why when i try download torrent i see message:
"Tracker Response Error: Client is banned"
I use BitComet v1.01. I never download before from this so i dont have ratio but i have to download to seed...
So help me guys...

Hello guys

i'm new here and i love very much this place

i have a little question here

well ,i download the file for 12 hours a days and then i shut down my computer cauz its not mine and then in the morning the same thing

is that good , cauz i see my ration beeing down and the icon file in utorrent is red since this morning( whitch mean that there is a tracker error) ??

Firs t off i would like to say thank you for letting me back on the site. I dont really know too much about torrents but i got a low ratio and was temporarily kicked off. so thanks for letting me back i will get my ratio up. my question is, when i download a torrent how long should i keep it available for uploading? if anyone has any pointers on anything that will help me please feel free to PM me anytime. thanks

I've had the same ratio and seeding bonus points for the last couple weeks despite having dl/ul a lot since then. Any ideas anyone?

500 MB is super small. probably should be 1-5 GB till the ratio even comes into play. really brutal on new folks especially since it's not listed in the FAQ.... i'm a newbie. wish me luck. i got a fast upload speed, hopefully everyone want the 2 PADs i pulled down today.

Its definitely a good idea to leave your computer on for as long as you can, a couple of days, to seed and get your ratio up. I downloaded pride fc bushido 1 - 13 freeleech and it really helped my ratio.
