hi...
i dunno what you play, but reading small stakes hold em which is a limit book- has helped me lots...
if it isnt on here youll find it via google.
also harrington on cash games is very good -he has so called hold em principles like: small hands small pot- big hands big pot- which was enlightening for me.
also no limit hold em theory and practice by sklanksy and miller i believe-
has interesting viewpoints like which hands can you call all ins with when opponent shoves x percent, as well as so called sklansky chubukov numbers.
lastly i also like collin moshmans book if you like sngs (stt).
main thing i wanna say is read some limit books if you feel you could use some more basic explanation on hold em- because in my opinion playing no limit without knowing the basics of limit is like wanting to run a marathon before you can crawl.
good luck and let us know if you succeeded.
take care!

ps. if u dont use a program like hold em manager or similar begin now- it keeps records and can show some helpful percentages of opponents tendencies)

Play tight ABC poker, stay patient, value bet, value bet, value bet, value bet, value bet,(see a theme here?) Play position. Value bet sets, look for maniacs that like to play every hand, price them into pots so they keep dumping you money. Get them pot committed and have them stack off when you have the nuts.

Dude I'll help you learn the game a little better. I'm a micro player regularly beating .02-.04 stakes building a bankroll so I can move up. I have had success by
1. POSITION (most important)
2. Proper Opening (raising) Hands
3. Calling and Reraising
4. The Continuation Bet
5. Throw It Away
6. The Blind Steal
7. Play For Stacks
I honestly haven't run into much resistance at these low levels. Stay away from maniacs who regularly raise/reraise you then try to get your whole stack in with a big one against them. Raise a lot more starting hands than you probably do in position, and continuation bet those flops because there are plenty of passive players who will call preflop and fold the flop. If someone is calling your bets and you don't have shit, check and let the hand go. If someone goes all-in against you, they probably have it. Really, they do.
Great video series on this site called How To Master Full Ring.
Old thread, but I thought I'd put my 2 cents in. Anyone who wants to Skype or PM and share strategy, I'm looking for a think tank to collaborate with.

| mind set problem imo yah they always DO hit the river, but scan your database and you'll see they don't. I can't beat micro either when I run bad, but if I run half decent.............. |
How do you fix the mindset problem ?
