Best Poker Torrents - View Topic: BPT

Hey members!

The bestpokertorrent.com community has been growing steadily for a while and we now have close to 10,000 members!

In spite of having twice as much members as our sister site bestmmatorrents.com, BPT is behind in some ways =)

In order to cater to the growing crowd and improve our little community, we could use some help!

What we are looking for is the following:

Content admins

- Delete/edit/move files

Forum admins

- Moderate forums
- Create new discussions

Tech admins

- Help us develop features on the site and carry it forward

Graphics/Design aid

- Create a new design
- Help us with design/graphics aspects

Editorial aid

- Articles, News and otherwise editorial

I'm constantly on the computer and playing in both cash and tournament poker on various sites.

I could write pieces on play and also could get a few more people to come post on the forums.

Dont spend too much time on the site personally but have a large group of friends that do. I would certainly be interested in content or a tech admin role and also have experince using graphic design packages and creating web based graphics.

I would make a superb Forum Moderator and a good Content Admin too. I see a guy uploading an e-book in the wrong section, I will move it.

I see a thread that is garbage, then I put it in graveyard. Shit is easy, and I'm on the computer 24/7.

Oh yeah, I forgot! I could possibly buy a Ventrilo server, and we can discuss things on the editorial. Could also discuss poker and other things regarding the site too.

Sorry fighterx but my vote is that you not become a moderator. I suspect you have an agenda and could possibly be a divisive influence in these forums. I'd be afraid to see what you decided should go into the graveyard. I see that you retracted your statement about me throwing a fit when I was, in fact, calmly expressing my views. But you retracted it 2 1/2 months after you made it, which leads me to believe that it's only part of a campaign for running for moderator.

What agenda peabody? I'm just posting what I think. At least I'm mature enough to take back any offense that might have occured. 2 1/2 months because this forum used to be very slow, so I would check it back less often.

But that's your vote, and I'll respect it. I know how to use the graveyard >_> (it's straight-forward)

Since when was having a vent server a divisive move? If anything, I'm all for bringing the community together and chilling in a vent server so we can talk poker.

Over the years I have found that people can become very diplomatic when they want something.

You did try to shut somebody up because of his ratio. I said to you in a post, "policing ratios are the moderators job, not yours" and now suddenly you want to be a moderator and come bearing gifts. That's what I mean by a possible hidden agenda and possible divisiveness.

I'm not sure you understand the distinction between expressing an opinion and acting on that opinion. We are all guests here and like it or not we don't have the option of acting on our opinions.

I'm not as concerned about the comment you made about me as I am about the comment you made to the other guy. But I am saying that the timing of the retraction of your comment is more than just a little suspicious. And you have, in fact, been on the site since you made it so you not visiting the site really has nothing to do with that timing.

I could be completely wrong about you but I just really like this site and would rather that they err on the side of caution.
