Id like to start a thread to help people upload with Utorrent.

It would be cool if this could be added to edited as necessary. Of course this is not going to cover everything but its a good start?


How to create a .torrent file with utorrent for BTP upload.

Download utorrent.

1. Open up utorrent and click on the 'create new torrent' icon as shown below



. A box will appear. If you are uploading a single file then click 'Add file' (1). If you are uploading a folder with files in it then click 'Add directory' (2). Here we will add a directory, but the principle is just the same if you are uploading a single file.



3. Browse to the folder where the files you want to upload are located, as shown. Then click 'OK'


4. Fill in the URLs of the trackers you wish to use. http://tracker.bestpokertorrents.com/announce.php

Tick the 'start seeding' box. Then click on the 'Create and save as...' button



. Select where to save the .torrent file to when prompted. It doesn't really matter where you put it so long as you remember where it is. The desktop is a good obvious place!  Then click on 'save'



6. You should then see your new torrent in your active list in utorrent, and the status should say 'seeding' as shown below. If you get any error messages such as 'Error: the system cannot find the file specified' then there is a problem and you should try again.



7. Now you are ready to upload your .torrent file to bpt. The btp upload page is here http://www.bestpokertorrents.com/upload Make sure you check that the contents of your torrent isn't against our rules or it will be removed. Then click on the 'browse' button beside the 'torrent file' box, and locate your .torrent file (which you previously saved onto your desktop).


After uploading the torrent (as per last image), you will be asked to download it again.  This will add your passkey to the tracker.

Set the new downloaded (from BPT)torrent location to where the file/directory currently exists.  It will check then start seeding.

Nice although you need to ensure that the private torrent checkbox is checked. For uploading to BPT, there should only be the one tracker(?).

Also - you should use images with the latest utorrent (1.8.3)  I think most new people would be using the latest utorrent version.  Other than that,it looks about right

While i think about it, you don't check start seeding option either.
