News: WSOP 2009: Meet Jeff Shulman

Jeff Shulman is the editor of Card Player Magazine
Shulman claims that he will throw the bracelet in the garbage if he wins it.
He Said:
"It's about my lack of respect for the WSOP and the management here and what they've done to the players.
Shulman Said:
"If I win, I'll never play at the Rio or WSOP again," Shulman said. "If I win, I'll never play poker again."
What would YOU do with a WSOP Main Event Bracelet?

he probably has a point for whatever reason...not sure why but not the point, i would certainly melt that MOFO down and sell the jewlery out of it instead of throwing it away!! personally i would wear it for a while then probably have it in a safe deposit box somewhere, break it out on rare occasion.
like Homer and his MR Plow jacket ID where it and nothing else

Sell it to one of those cash for gold places.
The only thing that I'm putting in my garbage after I win is the most recent free subscription copy of Cardplayer Magazine.
Sorry Jeff, Bluff and All In are both better magazines than your rag.
How can anyone who makes his living off of poker aficionados denigrate the game?

If I won a bracelet, I would sell it. I wouldn't even consider quitting poker though, it's just that bracelets mean nothing to me. The money I would welcome very warmly, but I believe that poker is a game in which you must be constantly improving and never standing still, so I don't value any prizes like bracelets at all. Money and consistency are the things I consider much more important than a bracelet.

Me too! So all my friends can admire it!
I'd keep it, and I think Jeff Shulman should too.
If he has a beef with Harrah's, The RIO, the tournament director and/or the WSOP in general then he should use his powers as an editor of Cardplayer to write an editorial about it.
Actually devoting a couple of pages to explain his point(s) might actually lead to some of them being addressed and resolved.
Just saying "I have a beef with the WSOP and if I win I am going to throw my bracelet away" accomplishes nothing and definitly does nothing to further his cause in raising issue with whatever is bothering him.
