News: WSOP 2009: Meet Phil Ivey

Phil Ivey is well known all over the world, he won seven (7) bracelets, he will def be the star of the show coming on November.

Ivey has already snagged two bracelets at the 2009 WSOP.

Don't get confused becouse if he isn't the chip leader (9.765.000 chips) , Phil Ivey really have a shoot to win the Main Event.

"I may watch a few of the hands on TV and actually watch poker on TV," he said. "I'm a little short and I don't want to get in to exactly what I'm going to do, but I have some plans."

What is absolutely insane, is how he has bet large amounts on himself BEFORE the main event, so that if he actually wins it, he will win 10,000,000 EUR+ extra on that. It would be absolutely insane.

I really wish he win this becouse he never won the wsop main event and he deserve it.

Sooner or later he will win it, I mean for real he is going to stay playing poker for a LOOONG time

You can go a few lifetimes and not win the main event no matter how good you are, but yeah I am with you on this one - I do hope he wins it because he will rape some bookie's in the process and take the bracelet with a BIG BANG!

Why do people like Ivey so much? Do people think he's a really nice guy or what?

I don't doubt his being an excellent player but there are better, nonetheless, I can't understand why he is so popular with many people.

I'm also a Negreanu fan, I like Ivey becouse he is an awesome poker player, also I really like what I see on the interviews (the same w/Negreanu)
